MONROE MARILYN: (1926-1962) American Actress & Sex Symbol. A superb vintage signed and inscribed 11 x 14 photograph of Monroe in a classic, alluring head and shoulders pose. The photograph dates from the time of Monroe`s appearance in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953). Signed in bold blue ink across a light area of the image, `Jack-You certainly can-and I`m not mad! Marilyn`. An intriguing inscription, apparently to the choreographer Jack Cole. Signed photographs of this size and quality are rarely encountered. Some very light, extremely minor age wear to the extreme edges, VG Jack Cole (1911-1974) American Dancer and Choreographer, famous for his work in Hollywood with Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell and Rita Hayworth among others. He worked on several of Monroe`s movies including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953). Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) is a film adaptation of the musical and starred Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell. Monroe appeared in the role of the gold-digging Lorelei Lee and her rendition of the song Diamonds Are a Girl`s Best Friend is considered an iconic performance of the silver screen.

Bold red fountain pen ink signature (`Bela Lugosi`) on a page removed from an autograph album. Professionally matted in white beneath an unsigned 8 x 10 photograph of Lugosi in costume as Count Dracula and a colour 10 x 8 photograph, being a reproduction of a poster promoting Dracula, signed in black ink by Carla Laemmle (1909- ) American Actress, niece of Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle and a cast member of Dracula. Framed and glazed in a black frame to an overall size of 15 x 28. VG
