A charming group of three antique dolls together with a facsimile photograph of the original owner (born in 1913) as a child playing with these dolls, Molly, Isabel and baby doll. Large Kammer & Reinhardt Simon & Helbig,126/62 with flirty eyes and trembling tongue. Another German doll bisque head marked 10 with blue sleeping eyes and small boy doll bisque head DV. Together with the original wicker crib and soft Bonzo toy.There doesn't appear to be any cracks or chips to the bisque heads.

Eines von nur 2 bekannten Exemplaren des ursprünglichen, ersten Druckzustands und eines von insgesamt nur 6 Exemplaren. Auf Bütten. 15 x 10,6 cm (5,9 x 4,1 in). Papier: 18,5 x 22,5 cm (7,2 x 8,8 in). Bei dem dargestellten Raum handelt es sich vermutlich um das Studentenzimmer in der Ostbahnstraße 15, Dresden, das Kirchner 1905/06 bewohnt (nach Georg Reinhardt, 1977/78, erwähnt in: Gercken, Werkverzeichnis der Druckgraphik, Bern 2015, Kat.-Nr. 29). • Eines von nur zwei bekannten Exemplaren des ursprünglichen, ersten Druckzustands. • Zwei der insgesamt sechs bekannten Exemplare befinden sich in Museumsbesitz: im Brücke-Museum Berlin und im Buchheim Museum, Bernried. • In den vergangenen 30 Jahren wurde nur ein einziges weiteres Exemplar dieses seltenen Holzschnitts auf dem Auktionsmarkt angeboten (Quelle: artnet.com). • Kunsthistorisch bedeutendes Entstehungsjahr: 1905 gründen Kirchner, Heckel, Schmidt-Rottluff und Bleyl die Künstlergruppe 'Brücke'. • Ausdruck der Faszination und der intensiven Auseinandersetzung der 'Brücke'-Künstler mit den Holzschnitten von Félix Vallotton (1865–1925) und der Wiener Moderne. Kammer & Reinhardt 102 Walter bisque socket head antique doll, German, c 1910, impressed K * R 102, painted light blue eyes looking slightly to the left, with black pupils and white dot highlights, brown upper eyeliner, subtle shading to hollows below eyes, single stroke brown painted brows, nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined full lips, sculpted philtrum, dimple to chin, sculpted ears, moulded blonde hair, with forehead fringe, hair has kiln dust and some rubs / wear to moulding, represents an older boy with characterised thinner mature face, composition and wooden ball jointed body, index finger is missing from right hand, right foot has been damaged- and is partially missing, replacement ball joint to right leg knee, also re-stung (some time ago), clothed in original knitted ecru cotton singlet / bodysuit, hand-made contemporary cotton checked shirt, navy woollen shorts, navy woollen cape with hood and cotton checked trim, 21.5"/56 cm. NB: An identical sculpture, Knabenbuste, was modelled by the German artist Arthur Lewin-Funcke in 1898 and then, in 1910, was transformed by Lewin-Funcke into this rare model for Kammer and Reinhardt's art character reform series. Few examples are known to exist, and the doll is one of the world's rarest in this larger size with fine modelling, intensity of expression and translucent painting. Condition Report: There are no cracks or chips to the doll?s head. There are a few rubs to the moulded hair, also kiln dust to the hair (from the time of manufacture). Tip of index finger is missing from right hand. Right leg has incurred damage when family?s dog chewed his foot away. There are scratches / bite marks to this lower leg. Legs have been re-strung with a new mis-matching ball joint to the right knee. There is wear and crazing in places to the composition body. Tips of fingers and toes are rubbed.

(38)Blandine Ebinger and her husband, Friederich Hollaender invited Mischa Spoliansky, to become the in-house composer for the literary cabaret, Schall und Rauch, founded by Max Reinhardt in 1919. Spoliansky's friend, Marlene Dietrich, first played second violin in his revues and was discovered by Joseph Von Sternberg who cast her in The Blue Angel when he saw her performance in Spoliansky and Marcellus Schiffers 1932 revue, Es Leight in der Luft,'. Mischa Spoliansky, emigrated to London in 1933 and went on to compose over 80 film scores. Provenance: Mischa Spoliansky's personal collection. The vendor is Spoliansky's grandson.

EMIL ORLIK (Prag 1870 - 1932 Berlin) Porträtstudie Lithografie/Papier, 38,8 x 29,2 cm im Druck signiert E OrlikSCHÄTZPREIS °€ 100 - 200 STARTPREIS °€ 100 Orlik studierte an der privaten Malschule Heinrich Knirrs in München und an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München. 1894 kehrte er nach Prag zurück. Entscheidend für seine weitere künstlerische Entwicklung wurde eine Reise nach Japan von 1900 bis 1901. Orlik wird auch zu den Vertretern des Japonismus gezählt. 1904 übersiedelte er nach Wien. Er war von 1899 bis 1905 Mitglied der Wiener Secession und veröffentlichte in der Secessions-Zeitschrift Ver Sacrum. Nach 1905 wurde Orlik Vorstandsmitglied im Deutschen Künstlerbund. 1905 erhielt Orlik einen Ruf nach Berlin als Professor an die Staatliche Lehranstalt des Berliner Kunstgewerbemuseums. Er wurde als Nachfolger von Otto Eckmann Leiter der Grafik-Klasse. Zu seinen Schülern zählten George Grosz, Hannah Höch, Oskar Nerlinger, Josef Fenneker, Reinhold Ewald, Carl Schröder, Gustav Berthold Schröter, Erich Schönfeld, Siegward Sprotte, Karl Hubbuch und Gerhard Ulrich. Ab 1906 war Orlik Mitglied der Berliner Secession und beteiligte sich an deren Ausstellungen. 1922 wurde er Mitglied der Preußischen Akademie der Künste. U. a. porträtierte Orlik bedeutende Zeitgenossen: Ernst Barlach, Lovis Corinth, Otto Dix, Käthe Kollwitz, Max Slevogt, Franz Werfel, Rudolf Steiner, Thomas Mann, Albert Einstein, Franz Marc, Alfred Döblin, Henrik Ibsen, Bernhard Pankok, Gustav Mahler, Hermann Bahr, Max Klinger, Emil Nikolaus von Reznicek, Jakob Wassermann und Rainer Maria Rilke, den er aus Prag kannte. Orlik setzte ansonsten insbesondere Themen aus dem kleinbürgerlichen und ländlichen Milieu seiner jeweiligen Aufenthaltsorte um: Folklore, Landleben, das Mondäne, Großstadt, das Exotische, ferne Länder – Orlik unternahm Reisen nach China, Russland und Ägypten. Orlik entwarf im Auftrag des Schokoladeproduzenten Ludwig Stollwerck Sammelbilder für Stollwerck-Sammelalben, u. a. die Serie „Rinderbilder“ für das Stollwerck-Sammelalbum No. 5 von 1902. 1917 bis 1918 war Orlik bei der Brest-Litowsk-Konferenz als Pressezeichner beschäftigt. In Zusammenarbeit mit Max Reinhardt schuf er für dessen Inszenierungen Bühnenbild- und Kostümentwürfe. Als Beilagen veröffentlichte die Kunstzeitschrift Pan 1897 Radierungen von Orlik, darunter eine Radierung des Plakates Die Weber zu Gerhart Hauptmanns gleichnamigem Sozialdrama. 1897 bis 1901 verwendete die Münchner Kulturzeitschrift Die Jugend wiederholt Bilder Orliks.Bitte beachten: Der Kaufpreis besteht aus Meistbot zuzüglich des Aufgeldes, der Umsatzsteuer sowie gegebenenfalls der Folgerechtsabgabe. Die für uns nicht sicher lesbare Unterschrift könnte von Alexander Moissi stammen, der in Beer Hofmanns berühmter Inszenierung der "Iphigenie" für Max Reinhardt den Orest spielte.
