A Linthorpe art pottery vase, 1879-1889, of plain oval form with double loop handles, brown and cream streaked glaze, impressed LINTHORPE, and shape number 1309, 27cms high; and a pair of Linthorpe pepperettes of plain cylindrical form, graduated brown glaze, with silver plated mounts, impressed LINTHORPE, and HT monogram for Henry Tooth, shape number 915, 9.5cms high. A Pair of Ault Pottery Vases, shape 118, green, white, mustard and brown glazed, impressed factory mark and 118, 33cm William Ault founded his own pottery in 1887 and in 1890 purchased a number of Linthorpe moulds to Dresser's designs from the liquidation sale. Dresser signed a contract in 1893 to supply designs to Ault.
An art pottery chamber stick in the style of Linthorpe with high loop handle and green glazed body, unmarked, height 18.75cm.Additional Information1cm x 5mm chip to underside of rim, scratches to the glazing, the handle has been broken across where it joins the body of the chamber stick, a few small fritting marks to the rim.
