A late 19th century Linthorpe pottery vase of shouldered form, designed by Dr Christopher Dresser, with moulded and painted stylised flower head decoration on a mottled green and dark brown ground and with incised arrow head style detail to the neck rim, with impressed mark to base Linthorpe Ch. Dresser, 24 cm tall approx.
A green glazed pottery jardinière, late 19th Century, designed by Christopher Dresser, manufactured by Linthorpe or Ault, the ovoid body decorated in relief with three frogs climbing up one side, raised on three frog feet, impressed facsimile signature to base, height approx 16.5cm (minor chips). Note: a very similar 'frog bowl' is illustrated, plate number 188, in 'Christopher Dresser' by Widar Halén, p.166, and described as being from Dresser's personal collection.
