The New Adventures of Rupert (1936) D. Express First Rupert annual with dustjacket. The annual shows light general wear with some pink blemishes to front board. Four of the five 'colour-in' pages are enthusiastically coloured in. Generally cream pages with neat pencil dedication. A pair of blackamoor torcheres in the 19th century Venetian style, each modelled as a young boy in gilt scroll decorated jacket and striped pantaloons supporting a floral brimmed urn issuing nine-light electrolier with gilt scroll branches on his head and standing on a baroque style serpentine shaped gilt highlighted base with leafy scroll adorned angles, probably Italian mid 20th century, fitted for electricity, each 213cm high.
