A parcel-gilt bronze horse's head furniture comprising: a domed cap with plume-holder, inset turquoise cabochons, facing male busts to the socket, intersecting circles reserved against a stippled field; hinged attachment to four plaques each with central void (two with human face pendant within), glazed composition studs in raised cells; a festoon for the neck with thirty two hinged gilt plaques, each with pendant jingles and inset green glass stud, median discoid pendant with green glass cabochon. 473 grams total, 60cm overall (23 1/2"). Fine condition.Formerly in an important American collection from Chicago, Illinois, USA; disposed of in 1995; previously in the Mansees collection; formed 1950s-early 1990s. [No Reserve]

Late 6th-7th century AD. A gold sub-triangular mount with rounded upper angle; applied triquetra knot in beaded wire with filigree borders extending to the upper angle with rosette finial; cluster of granules to each lower angle. Disclaimed under the Treasure Act, reference number 2015T230. Recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference number BUC-925F98; accompanied by a print out of the PAS report. 2.17 grams, 24mm (1"). Fine condition. Found Sculthorpe, Norfolk, UK. The mount has the same overall 'cocked hat' profile as the clips on the sword from Sutton Hoo Mound 1 but lacks the holes for the attachment rivets. It must have been intended to form part of a larger object, such as an item of sword furniture or personal jewellery.

Complete with brass tipped ramrod. Approx 16 bore. A good original pistol in good condition. Circa 1800-1820. Armoured device to butt escutcheon.
Pistol: A fine quality model of an 18th/19th century sea service Pattern flintlock pistol. Barrel 12" (No marks) Ring neck cock. Lock engraved 'TOWER' to tail and Crown 'GR' and View Mark. Barrel blocked with weld 2" from tank and not vented. Lock in crisp w/order. Belt clip bolted to sideplate. Brass furniture with skull crusher buttcap. A good model with some artificial ageing. Pistol: A good model of a French model 1763 Flintlock pistol. Barrel 9" Tang marked 'M1763' Lock marked 'Mr De Libreville'. Iron furniture, hardwood stock. Ring neck cock, lock crisp on 1st & 2nd cock. Not vented at pan. Barrel with internal welding to approx 3". A decent replica with age patina. Sold a/f.
Pistol: A good model of an EIG Short percussion Sea Service pistol (1846-51) lock (copy of New Series sidelock) with Crown & EIG & arrow mark to tail, with 'Birmingham' in front of hammer. First 2.5" blocked with weld. No venting through nipple. Lock in good working order. Captive rammer, hardwood stock. Brass furniture with lanyard ring and hardwood stock. Sold a/f.
Pistol: A good percussion belt pistol by 'Williams & Powell' circa 1840 probably for coastguard customs or sea service. Barrel 6" with proofs and '26'. Polished walnut stock with plain brass furniture and iron lanyard ring. Captive rammer. Crisp action on 1st & 2nd cock. A good example of this popular pistol.
Pistol: A large French Military pistol along with the lines of the 1842 Pattern. Pistol made in Belgium by P.J. Malherbe Ltd. Barrel 8" cal .69 (?) Back action lock working on 1st & 2nd cock. Walnut (?) stock repaired fracture to front of lock. Original ramrod. Iron furniture with lanyard ring. Worn overall but all original. A 'sleeper'.
Pistol: An interesting percussion holster pistol. Appears to be a drum & nipple conversion from a flintlock pistol. Barrel 9" and is engraved 'CHESHIRE CONSTABULARY' (Note the Cheshire Constabulary was found on 20.4.1857. H.Q. at 4, Seller Street Chester). Plain lock (slightly a/f brass furniture) Walnut stock with plain bag shaped grip. Old repair to fore end. With replacement (?) rammer. It was likely the new police force would have initially used old refurbished weapon. Interesting lot.
