Entertainment Memorabilia: Les Miserables, The costume of Marius worn by Michael Ball in the original West End production and at the 10th Anniversary at The Royal Albert Hall, London. Michael Ball & Sir Cameron Mackintosh have generously donated the costume to the `Shooting Star CHASE Children`s Hospice` of which Michael is a patron, all proceeds will go to the hospice and in Michael`s words, `A Rare Opportunity To Own A Special Piece Of Theatrical History`. The costume is in pristine condition with Michael Ball / Marius emblazoned on the inside of each of the costume`s pieces.

Crossini (James).- Memorabilia including a series of 39 autograph and typed letters signed by James Hartley, 82pp. 8vo and 4to, 1972-1995, some addressed to "Misery" or "Misery Guts", discussing show business in Blackpool, reminiscing about stars of the past, and giving a resumé of his career, with related correspondence from the Entertainment Artistes` Benevolent Fund; 55 autograph and typed letters signed by Frankie Parker, 98pp. 4to and folio, 1961-1984, mainly describing his work as a musical entertainer and Olde Tyme Chairman; 14 autograph letters signed by Francis Langford of the Francis Langford Singers, 1959-1962; 30 autograph or typed letters signed by Reggie Dennis "Europe`s Leading Showman-Compere-Comedian", , 1956-1961; over 30 letters from Cyril Dowler, Len Shackleton, and others relating to bookings; and a series of letters in response to Crossini`s request for information about the Oxford Music Hall, Middlesborough; Crossini`s autograph notes and drafts for "A Night Out for 6d", 16pp. folio; his autobigraphical notes; 28 photographs of him performing as an escapologist, some in his appearance in "The Great Houdini"; a large number of contracts, programmes and handbills, a poster for an appearance in Scandinavia, Crossini`s identity card as James Cross, and other pieces, in two box files ***Crossini`s notes on his early life describe his work as assistant to three magicians, his appearance in films as an extra, in variety and circus, before successfully starting his own act. James Hartley appeared on stage from the age of 7 as a violin prodigy, and performed in a pierrot troupe in his youth. He later worked as a journalist for The Era, The Stage and various musical periodicals.
