Three signed with the initials HA, all inscribed with the titles, oil on board, each 22cm by 30cm (a set of ten) A London painter of freshwater fish. He wrote The Modern Angler under the pen name of "Otter", and wrote for Fishing Tackle Market. He exhibited at the Great Fisheries Exhibition in 1883 and Suffolk Street in 1855., The work is sold with a letter dated 17 May 1856 referring to the Tayside Society and Fishing Club founded circa 1795.

ALLEN & CO, Bird Animal & Fish preservers, 20 Stonegate, No6 Feasegate, York Diploma 1889 & 1890, established 1845" the fish measures approx 22" long, blue background, fully reeded over rock base, fine clean early large specimen chub. Note: This specimen is huge for the period c 1900, the recent Chub record of 9 lb 2oz was set 2006; the previous record was 8lb 14oz, so probably a record fish for its day.
