LURES (3): Pair of Creek Chub Wiggle Fish wood jointed baits, 3.5" wood body example with glass eyes, fine in MOB and a 3" Wiggle fish, slight cracks to paint, otherwise good, 3 hook model 100 style minnow with glass eyes, metal props, 3" pearl paint body, good and a pair of Abbey & Imbrie Go-Getter lures boxes (empty) for 72 Pike and 85 codes.
CASED FISH: An early Chub by J. Cooper, 28 Radnor St, London (paper label top left) in glass bow front gilt lined & written case 25" x14" x 6", blue backdrop, full reeded over gravel base, fly and cast mounted to top inside right of backboard, gilt text reads "3lbs, 3ozs, Great Ouse, Sept 2nd 1898, H. W. Ansell".
CASED CHUB: Fine preserved Chub by Fred Saunders, 69 Highbury Park, London (logo label to inside top right) in glazed bow front gilt lined case 24" x13" x6, blue backboard fully reeded over gravel base, internal paper label reads "Chub, caught at Marlow by J Robertson December 1913 Weight 3lb 1-1/2 oz", fine specimen retaining good colour by a rarely seen taxidermist studio (same captor for Perch in following lot).

RODS (2): An Allcock`s Gloria 12` 3 piece Spanish reed float rod, factory painted black cane, high bells guides whipped yellow tipped red, bronze ferrules, 20" cork handle, alloy reel rings fine in cloth bag and a lee of Redditch The Aquilla 11` 3 piece split cane barbel or chub river rod, high bells guides, close whipped green, bronze ferrules, 21" cork handle, with bronze anodised sliding screw reel winch, fine in bag.

Three signed with the initials HA, all inscribed with the titles, oil on board, each 22cm by 30cm (a set of ten) A London painter of freshwater fish. He wrote The Modern Angler under the pen name of "Otter", and wrote for Fishing Tackle Market. He exhibited at the Great Fisheries Exhibition in 1883 and Suffolk Street in 1855., The work is sold with a letter dated 17 May 1856 referring to the Tayside Society and Fishing Club founded circa 1795.
Three Chub Preserved and Mounted Amidst Reeds and Grasses in an Ebonised Bow Fronted Case, with gilt lettering 'Chub-Caught by Geo.Barratt & A.Humphreys at Boroughbridge June 16th 1909, Wt 4lbs 2 1/2oz, 4lbs 3/4oz and 3lbs 9 1/4oz', labelled to inside 'J.Horner Tackle Dealer, 10 Westfield Tce, Leeds', length of case 122cm.
CASED FISH: An early large chub of approx 7lbs in glazed flat front case 29" x15" x7", large decorative paper trade label to reverse" E. ALLEN & CO, Bird Animal & Fish preservers, 20 Stonegate, No6 Feasegate, York Diploma 1889 & 1890, established 1845" the fish measures approx 22" long, blue background, fully reeded over rock base, fine clean early large specimen chub. Note: This specimen is huge for the period c 1900, the recent Chub record of 9 lb 2oz was set 2006; the previous record was 8lb 14oz, so probably a record fish for its day.
