A blue-printed pickle set, of rounded square shape on a pedestal foot with integral central container/handle and four matching small segment dishes, decorated with romantic Eastern scenes and a border of alternate floral and scenic vignettes, width 18cm, unmarked, circa 1835-45 (hair cracks in three of the small dishes) The pattern on this set appears to correspond to William Ridgways Oriental design: see Snyder, Romantic Staffordshire Ceramics, page 149, for an example on a pedestal bowl
A quantity of ceramics including a Royal Doulton series ware lidded jug, decorated in low relief with HMS Bounty, a Royal Aynsley trinket dish decorated with hand painted fruit against a pale ground together with a salt and pepper cellar similarly decorated and a 'Mintons' plate decorated with applied strawberries.
