A rare original promotional press kit for the Buddy Holly Week held between the 7th – 14th September 1978. Included is a typed press release document, a typed letter on MPL Communications letterhead, a black and white promotional photograph, two sheets of stickers, a large calendar for September 1978 – September 1979, seven promotional badges, a copy of the Buddy Holly Weekly newsletter and a small promotional card. The items are housed in the original mailing envelope addressed to BBC Radio Cleveland, Middlesbrough. Keith Moon of The Who attended the premiere screening of the ‘Buddy Holly Show’ during this week and was pictured with Paul McCartney at the event on the night he died. The calendar measures 30.5cm x 39cm (12 inches x 15.3 inches). There is some light wear to the edges and corners. The condition is very good plus. Some of the pages have very light creases around the corners. The condition is excellent. There are small marks and scratches to the surface of the badges. The condition is very good.
