Unusual Irish 32 Bore Flintlock Travelling Pistol by McDermot, Dublin c.1820 Fitted with Spring Bayonet, twist barrel engraved Dublin in sighting channel, side bayonet released by sliding thumb catch, fullstocked, signed stepped bolted lock with French style cock, iron trigger guard, rounded chequered grip. Barrel 8cms, overall 18cms. Fair condition, swivel ramrod and tip of fore-end missing, cleaned and worn overall.

British Army Bayonet Practice Rifle, good early WW1 period bayonet practice rifle in full working order. Constructed like a rifle with wood stock and cup steel butt plate the action and barrel are just a tube, with wooden fore stock, containing a large coil spring into which a floating steel rod is secured with a steel disk to the front all in good working order, on contact with an opponent the rod compresses into the tube simulating bayonet combat. Please note due to the size and type of item we are not able to offer in house post and packing on this lot.

Blade struck with makers mark for J Corts Sohn Remscheid. Some wear and dryness to the bayonet frog but otherwise a good example.

Housed in its steel and leather mounted scabbard which has been treated with a leather oil. Mounted to the scabbard is a reproduction leather bayonet frog. Pipe back blade with fuller to the back edge. Stamped to the forte “SIMSON & Co SUHL”. Some surface staining to the blade but generally not bad condition.

Housed in scabbard with frog stud. Blade with fuller to the back edge. Early Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark. Bayonet with no regimental markings. This type of bayonet was often issued to the colonial troops, telegraph and airship troops.

Third Reich Police Bayonet by E&F Horster Solingen, good example with finely detailed top pommel in the form of the eagles head. Two piece stag horn grips with aluminium police eagle emblem to the centre. Cross guard with oakleaves relief to the obverse, the reverse only has partial oakleaves and stamped ‘S.D.IV.386. Housed in its original black leather scabbard with nickel plated fittings. Attached to the scabbard is an original black leather bayonet frog. Attached to the frog is an other ranks pattern leather and cloth portepee (knot). Plain straight blade with fuller to the back edge. Horster makers stamp and to the reverse of the blade stamped with written details of the maker. Some light surface spots to the blade but otherwise a generally good example.

Two piece stag horn grips with aluminium police eagle emblem to the centre. Cross guard with oakleaves relief to the obverse, the reverse only has partial oakleaves and stamped ‘S.Br.I.1671. Housed in its original black leather scabbard with nickel plated fittings. Plain straight blade with fuller to the back edge. Reverse of the blade stamped with written details of the maker and obverse with maker symbol. Remains in very good overall condition.

Blade with fuller to the back edge, some light evidence of sharpening to the edge but still generally good. Blade stamped ‘SOLINGEN’.
