It appears to be complete but we do not have a bassoonist amongst our staff so cannot guarantee this.
NEUKOMM SIGISMUND VON: (1778-1858) Austrian composer and pianist. A fine, highly attractive autograph musical manuscript signed, le Cher. Sigismond Neukomm, thirty-six pages (16 stave manuscript paper), 8vo, London, 7th February 1832. The working full-score manuscript is for Neukomm's complete work Septet ('Fantaisie concertante') in E flat, scored for trumpet, horn, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and double bass, penned in brown ink on up to two eight-stave systems per page, with an autograph title page in French, autograph foliation ('1' - '36') and with some instructions in English ('….exactly in time, not ritard…') and a number of erasures and autograph corrections. Dated at the conclusion and again signed by Neukomm with his monogram ('SN') Bound with string in the original dark brown wrappers. Some light age wear and a few minor stains to the inside pages, the paper wrappers with some minor creases and a few small tears, about VGAutograph musical manuscripts of Neukomm very seldom appear at auction, the great majority of his manuscripts now being housed in the Bibliotheque nationale in Paris. Septet was written for the Royal Philharmonic Society in 1832.

Elwerkemper Grand Piano (c1820) A Viennese grand piano in a mahogany and walnut case on three turned supports, having a 6 octave compass from FF-f4. Five pedals, including bassoon, moderator, damperlift, bells and janissary effects. This instrument was restored by Jean Maurer and is in good playing condition.

NO RESERVE Music.- Devienne (François) Méthode pour la Flûte dediée à Monsieur Roslin d'Ivry, Nouvelle Édition, engraved throughout, title with vignette of classical figure playing the flute by Aubert and 113pp. of text, fingering charts and musical notation by Richomme printed on both sides of sheet, all with number "402" at foot, title with old ink stamp at foot and reinforced at fore-margin, light foxing and soiling, contemporary half mottled calf, a little worn, spine frayed at head, 4to, Paris, Janet et Cotelle, [?1820].⁂ Later edition of Nouvelle Méthode... published by Imbault in Paris in 1794, by the most influential tutor of the classical (pre-Boehm) flute. It contains information on technique and articulation, and whereas the first edition was just for the single-keyed flute this edition includes instruction for a four-keyed instrument. Devienne played bassoon at the Paris Opera and was professor of flute at the Paris Conservatoire from its foundation in 1793.WorldCat lists only one copy of this edition, in the Netherlands Music Institute library in The Hague.
