India, 19th-early 20th century AD. Cast bronze tribal figure of the Hindu god Ganesh with applied decoration, seated and playing an accordion. 169 grams, 84mm (3 1/4"). Acquired on the London art market in the late 1980s. Made in the Bastar region of central India [No Reserve] Fine condition.
Sixteen assorted gem-set platinum and gold charms, including three dog charms, three cat charms, a windmill with triangular diamond sails and set with an emerald and two rubies, a sapphire and diamond bee charm, a diamond and cabochon sapphire Mr Punch charm, two accordion players, a lute player with sapphire hat and a see-saw charm with heart and couple with a fine link platinum bracelet.
A mid-20th Century Fonola one hundred and twenty button Piano Accordion, central paper-covered bellows, twenty-four keys plus thirteen assorted keys for various musical accompaniments, piccolo, clarinet, oboe etc, in a black and silver finish; together with travel case, 21” x 19 ½” Condition: Webbing/fabric on corners of bellows has some wear, no obvious holes, bellows grubby and some mould/muck so not used for some time, unable to be sure bellows entirely hole free, 3 buttons have worn tops/ends but do not appear to stick.
