Renda, with the Art Laguna-Napoli Foundry mark, rich brown patination, raised on later white marble oblong base, 18 1/2" high (Illustrated) Renda was born in Polistena, Italy. The majority of his long and prolific career was spent in Naples where his style developed with that of the Italian Art Nouveau known as Liberty. This figure is a fine example of Renda`s interpretations of expressive Neopolitan street urchins, nicknamed "Scugnizzo"
