The Watch & Clock Maker Magazine, May 1938, p. 73, includes a photograph of Harry Haley at his lathe, which won the Daily Mirror photographic competion "Britain at Work". There is a short biography of his career, explaining he started aged ten and had also worked for the Waterbury Watch Co. for fifteeen years, prior to starting his own business in 1902 'determined to carry on the best of the old traditions'.

WW2 RAF & US Navy Pilot Log Books of Lieutenant Commander C.M. Waterbury.A interesting selection of five pilot log books recording the flying career of Lt. Commander Clair Morrill Waterbury a US citizen who volunteered to fly with the RAF and after the US entered WW2 transferred to the US Navy as a Pilot. The logs cover the period 15th March 1940 to the 1970's. The first private log records training until July 1941 flying Steerman aircraft. This appears to slightly overlap his RAF logbook which begins in May 1941 at the Polaris Flight Academy California. He was commissioned late 1941 and posted to 206 Squadron flying with Coastal Command. He completed 27 Operational flights by June 1942, before Transferring to the US Navy and started converting to the PPY in February 1943. The logs record flights in various aircraft types. ... An 1899 George Clowes Mfg. Co. 'Calcium King' A third model of the acetylene gas lamp, manufactured in Waterbury, Connecticut, USA between 1897 and 1900. Bicycle lamps are not usually consecutively numbered, but 'Calcium Kings' were, this example being numbered 15546. It comes with its original burner, carbide of calcium holder, hinging rear reflector, gas control valve and part bracket. 5½-inches (14cm). AGL 147.
