The Phantom Of The Opera, Steve Harley's script for the 1986 Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, together with a 12" single recorded by Steve Harley and Sarah Brightman to promote the musical and a 7" single in plastic bag. (3)Mike Batt suggested that Harley sing the title track of the upcoming The Phantom of the Opera musical. Andrew Lloyd Webber had decided to record and release a single to promote the upcoming musical. Agreeing to audition, Harley was given the job and soon recorded the song with Sarah Brightman. The song reached No. 7 in the UK charts in January 1986. A music video was also created, featuring Harley as the Phantom. A prime candidate for the role in the musical, Harley soon auditioned to play the Phantom. Successful in getting the part, he then spent five months working on the role, including rehearsal with producer Hal Prince. He was later surprised when he ended up being replaced by Michael Crawford.Lots 1001-1043 have been consigned by Steve Harley, singer and frontman of 1970s group Cockney Rebel, whose number one hit ‘Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)’ has been covered at least 120 times and appears on soundtracks as diverse as The Full Monty, Lego Rock Band, and a Marks & Spencer’s advert.The collection includes stage costumes, vinyl, backstage passes, souvenir brochures and Harley's own script for the 1986 Andrew Lloyd Webber musical of The Phantom of The Opera.

PINK FLOYD - THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN LP (1ST UK MONO LP/2ND SLEEVE - COLUMBIA 3157). An extremely well presented 1st UK vinyl pressing (with 2nd printing sleeve) copy of the legendary debut LP from The Pink Floyd. The record (Columbia black/blue labels, SX 6157) is in great Ex condition showing only a couple of very light and minor surface marks to the lovely, glossy and clean playing surfaces. Nice and sharp labels. Matrix/mother stampers: XAX 3419-2 1 H & XAX 3420-1 1 L. The sleeve ('File Under Popular') is in VG condition with some creasing noted though without any rips, tears or seam splits with the spine fully legible.
