Rare Decca SXL 6426 Stereo Wideband vinyl record, Sonata in A Minor for Arpeggione and Piano, D.821, Frank Bridge, Sonata for Cello and Piano, Mstislav Rostropovitch on Cello and Benjamin Britten on Piano, record in excellent condition on both sides, labels also in excellent condition, free of any defects and without spindle marks, matrix numbers ZAL-9193-1W and ZAL-9194-3W, record sleeve also in excellent / near mint condition with Clarifoil lamination completely intact, no side splits, writing or other defects Rare original first stereo pressing from 1969 with Wideband ED3 label (ED1 and ED2 versions do not exist for this record), one of the most sought after classical records in the highly collectible Decca SXL-series, seldom found in this condition. Titles include S/T (Vertigo 'large' swirl UK original VO 6,847 903 VTY - a strong VG+ copy with inner), Paranoid (1st 'large' swirl copy 6360 011, G+/VG vinyl with a gold 'stain' to side 2, this cannot actually be felt and should not cause the record to skip, however surface noise will be expected), Master Of Reality (2 x RE), Never Say Die! THE BEATLES - proof sleeve with differing designs for a Collection of Oldies (PMC7016) that has been printed the opposite way around so that the rear of the sleeve (featuring an image of the band in Japan taken by Robert Whitaker) appears as the front. The art deco illustration appears on the reverse. The sleeve was printed in the UK and has EMI address at base and is also marked "F.P.". It also has a completely different design with track listings, title and catalogue numbers all much different to the final version. Includes UK 1st press vinyl record (PMC7016) with 1G/1G matrix numbers. Provenance: originally from the collection of a gentleman that worked for EMI.
