BLADE RUNNER (1982) - Geoff Hutchins Collection: Linen Street UmbrellaA linen street umbrella from Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic Blade Runner. Set in 2019 Los Angeles, the film depicts a dystopian rain-soaked city, whose inhabitants carried umbrellas. Replicant Zhora Salome (Joanna Cassidy) used umbrellas as cover while fleeing from Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford). This lot comes from the family of Blade Runner archivist Geoff Hutchins.This umbrella features a carved wooden handle, a red-and-blue linen canopy, and a swatch of red burlap beneath the ferrule. The lot comes with a letter of authenticity from Gene Winfield, the production's vehicle fabricator. The umbrella exhibits some stiffness, discoloration and grime from production use, and some of its stretchers are damaged.
