Early 20th century Aynsley coffee set on turquoise ground with pierced silver cup holders (Sheffield 1917), in original fitted case (4.8ozs of silver)Condition report: One saucer is not Aynsley and is a slightly different colour blue (see additional images). One saucer has a chip to the blue paintwork. Otherwise the saucers appear to be in good condition with no obvious cracks or chips.The cups all appear to be in good condition. However, I am unable to get the silver mounts off the porcelain cups to check them over properly.

Evans, Joan Bingham, George R Owen, Anne Westminster, JD & Freda McKechnic, Mat & Alan Johnson, B Le Mare and many others, hallmarked Sheffield 1958 by James Dixon & Sons Ltd, 22 by 55cm., weight 1500gms., minor wear with surface marks, sold with a b & w 10 by 13cm. photograph of Stan Mellor on the day he won his first championship beating Fred Winter by one winner, (2)Stan Mellor was crowned Champion Jump Jockey on three occasions. Silver salver awarded to the jockey Stan Mellor for winning the Whitbread Gold Cup on Frenchman's Cove at Sandown Park on 28th April 1962,the silver pie crust salver engraved THE WHITBREAD GOLD CUP SANDOWN PARK 28TH APRIL 1962, raised upon four pad supports, hallmarked Sheffield 1960 by Poston Products Ltd, diameter 25cm., weight 500gms., sold with a Tiffany & Co silver plated bowl commemorating the Whitbread Gold Cup Winners Reunion on the 25th April 1992, stamped Tiffany & Co on the base, 11 by 6cm., each bearing minor surface scratches, (2)The Whitbread Gold Cup was the first commercially sponsored horse race, dating from 1957 sponsored by Whitbread Brewers at the instigation of Colonel Bill Whitbread, the company's chairman, who had twice ridden in the Grand National as an amateur jockey. Cup Final between Bradford City and Newcastle United played at Crystal Palace, 22nd April 1911,oval lobed silver fruit bowl with foliate decoration raised upon similar decorated foot, the centre engraved with PRESENTED TO MR J.H. PEARSON BY HIS BROTHER REFEREES AND FRIENDS AS A MOMENTO OF HIS OFFICIATING AS REFEREE IN THE FINAL TIE OF THE ENGLISH CUP APRIL 22ND 1911, Sheffield 1909 by James Dixon & Sons, 8.5 by 29 by 22cm., weight 710gms.This was presented for the first final match which resulted in a 0-0 draw, the replay on the 26th April 1911 at Old Trafford Bradford City defeated Newcastle United 1-0.
