A 19th Century Fan, the wooden monture painted brightly in gold, the double leaf of a vibrant blue silk satin, a fragment of 18th century bobbin lace applied to the top as a border, telescopic action, the verso plain. Guard length 7 inches or 18cm when closed. Together with A Late 19th/Early 20th Century Bone Fan, mounted with a double leaf, strong blue silk satin to the recto overlaid with white bobbin lace, the harebell shaped flowers in tape lace, the borders and reserves in ''cucumber'' lace. With a darker blue silk to the verso, the size 9.75 inches or 25cm; and Four Items Of Antique Lace, to include a Normandy lace circular table centre, a bobbin runner, a Maltese handkerchief and a machine lace shawl collar edged with tapelaceThe first fan is bright and clean, the verso with light foxing. The bone fan is a little grubby and the upper guard has been repaired. The Normandy lace centre is intact but very stained. The Maltese handkerchief is damaged.
CIRCLE OF SIR GODFREY KNELLER (1646-1723) "Lady in lace trimmed dress with jewelled collar ring and embroidered red shawl", a portrait study, half length, within an oval, oil on canvas, unsigned, 76 cm x 63.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Crazing to the paint over the entire picture. An area of loss to the paint in the lower left corner. Some accretions and surface scratches, areas of discolouration. There is what appears to be a small blister or area of loss to the top of one of the breasts. The painting appears to have originally been housed in an oval frame. Under UV lights the painting has been cleaned in areas, there are areas of repainting and touching up mainly to the top of the painting above the sitter's head and possibly parts of the shawl and some areas of the dress. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
SCHOOL OF JOSEPH HIGHMORE (1692-1780) "Lady in lace trimmed white silk dress with blue striped bow at her breast with blue shawl, her left hand upon the bow", a portrait study within an oval, half length, oil on canvas, unsigned, approx 76 cm x 63 cm CONDITION REPORTS Painting has areas of crazing to the paint throughout, some accretions and light surface scratches, areas of dust and possibly could do with a clean. Under UV light there are numerous areas of restoration mainly to parts of the face and neck and some areas of restoration or touching up to the corners and to the arm, some areas of the dress as well. Painting has wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
A 19th Century painted tin miniature dummy board as a woman with basket in shawl, 19.2 cm high, together with another as a young man with flute and spaniel, 21.2 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Boy's head has been bent at the neck. Has surface scratches and some craquelure to the painting as well as areas of flaking and pitting to the metal work. In need of a good clean. Various wax drops throughout. Is attached firmly to the base. The girl is on a different base to the boy and although firmly, the lead base to the wood is loose and it appears to have been pinned in various places throughout. The base has large chips. The paintwork of the girl has some crazing, flaking and missing in areas. In need of a good clean and she is generally mis-shapen. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to both. See images for more details.

A collection of vintage clothing and accessories, late 19th-mid 20th century, mainly infant's clothes, including a small box of whitework baby bonnets and dresses with a manuscript note 'made by French Canadian nuns', an ermine tippet and matching muff, several pairs of leather shoes, a few blouses, including a cream silk blouse with Harrods label, plus other clothing and textiles, including nine pairs of ladies' gloves, some elbow length, and a wooden glove stretcher, a couple of lace collars, a pair of pantaloons, seven lace handkerchiefs and one embroidered, several detachable decorative bib fronts of drawn threadwork, a few sun bonnets, and a large colourful machine-stitched piano shawl with wide knotted fringe, various sizes and condition (a carton)

A fine Indian Delhi shawl, mid-late 19th century, ornately hand-embroidered in cream silk floss to a grey/blue net base, with central floral roundel on a ground of flower sprigs, and trefoil boteh cornerpieces, all within a wide floral border, knotted fringe edging, occasional minor loose threads or small marks, overall size 168 x 168cm (66 x 66ins) A beautifully embroidered shawl in good condition.
