Interesting E.M.I reel-to-reel tape recorder bearing a label inscribed J/S Cat no. 5835-99-580-026, Recorder-Reproducer, Sound.E.M.I. RE301/G ser no. L25 516, weight 100lbs, within a large sky blue and gunmetal grey casing, 26" high x 19" wide *This reel-to-reel recorder was purchased from the BBC by Calvert Noble-Rollin, who set up the World Bird Research in Glanton, Northumberland. They were acquired when a relation of the current owner purchased Calvert's House. It is believed that the BBC had E.M.I 1 and this recorder is E.M.I 2. A Hohner Verdi II piano accordion and a further smaller Hohner black accordion, the largest is approx 50cm, also a cased Philips Hi Fidelity reel to reel tape recorder (3). CONDITION REPORT The larger model has some slight damage to the bellows and both are fairly worn, each complete with original straps. Both accordions appear to be working but sound may be affected by damage.
