Y George III shagreen etui of drawing instrumentsJ. Bleuler, London, circa 1800 The tapered case with hinged lid enclosing fitted interior containing an ivory sector rule engraved BLEULER, LONDON, a protractor also signed and a selection of brass compasses and other instruments, the inside of the lid applied with trade label J. BLEULER, No. 27 Ludgate Street, LONDON, the exterior with brass button clasp to front, 17cm (6.75ins) high. A John Bleuler is recorded in Clifton, Gloria Directory of British Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851 as apprenticed to Henry Shuttleworth in 1771, he took on the business of the late Thomas Whitford at 27 Ludgate Hill, London in 1791 and worked from that address until 1822. He died in 1829. Condition Report: Instruments appear complete and free from significant faults but have general wear and light corrosion. The sector is a little stained but appears undamaged. The case is intact but a little tired with cracking, slight movement and wear to the skin veneers. The base has a hole due to an instrument being pushed through from the inside and the rear has unusual layout to the veneers incorporation a triangular patch which is almost certainly a detail from its construction than a repair. Internally the compartment divisions have noticeable wear but are serviceable. Condition Report Disclaimer

A Second World War RAF Group of Medals, comprising a 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence and War Medal, to P.0459 Flight Lieutenant Stanislaw Pawlowicz, No.305 (Polish) Squadron, together with his Observer's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book, two notebooks, typed transcript of his diary from September 1939 to 28th May 1937, typed Record of Service, twenty nine plotting maps for Operations 1 to 30 (No.27 missing) dating from 1/2 -4-1942 to 19/20-9-1942 (over Germany), with corresponding hand written logs, eight arial maps of Great Britain and a binder file of photocopied documents, also a ''Douglas'' Combined Protractor & Parallel Rule and a slide rule
RAF interest: Uniforms and associated items belonging to Flight Lieutenant Charles 'Chick' Kirkham , to include a fragment of fabric from de Havilland Mosquito TA 634, a cold weather flying jacket, two dress jackets, a pair of aviation shorts, a navigational protractor, maps etc. Kirkham served in the RAF form 1942 to 1982, retiring from active service in 1976. His career highlights include flying the de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito as part of the 81 squadron, including the TA 634 now housed in the de Havilland Aircraft Museum, working on the British war films 'Purple Plain' and '633 Squadron', and working as a Harrier simulator instructor at RAF Wildenrath whilst serving as a retired officer from 1976 to 1982.
