A group of mid 20th c. Navigation Accessories, 1940s-1960s, including AM Cockpit Lamp Mk.IA Ref. No. 5C/446, dash-panel compass No. 9030/KH1/54, Turn-and-Bank indicator, Dead-Reckoning Computer Mk.4B ref. No. 6B/2835, Navigational computer Mk.III H ref. No. 6B/250, Glider Kneeboard GB3, Douglas Combined Protractor, Pye Radio Intercom Set, an ammunition cartridge canister and related sundries, etc. (-)
A nickel plated brass protractor, Thomas Jones, London, early 19th century, the open half-circle with pivoted radius arm incorporating vernier and extension piece with straight edge, the frame signed `Thomas Jones, 62 Charing=Crofs, London`, in velvet lined mahogany box applied with a photographic label suggesting that the instrument belonged to William Becket (1770-1840) and was used at Reading during the time of the G.W.R. Railway building program, and was subsequently passed down his family.
An oak cased set of drawing instruments circa 1900, by Jackson Bros. Ltd., Leeds & Armley, containing nickel plated and ivory handled instruments, plus an ebony and brass parallel rule by Harling Ltd., 10.5 x 6.75in. (26.5 x 17cm.), together with a smaller oak cased set by J. Coombes, Devonport, with similar contents plus a boxwood protractor rule, 8 x 5.25in. (20.5 x 13.5cm.) and two part-complete rosewood cased sets. (4)

(36 x 13.5cm.), a second Army & Navy set with boxwood rules and Marquois scales, 14 x 5in. (35.5 x 12.5cm.), a set with the ivory handles stamped `Harling`, 10.75 x 7in. (27.5 x 18cm.) and an Elliott Bros. of London set with ebony rolling parallel rule, 13.5 x 5in. (34.5 x 12.5cm.). (4)

(18.5 x 7.5cm.), and an Adie of Westminster set, 7.75 x 5.5in. (19.5 x 14cm.), all three containing nickel plated and ivory instruments, plus a smaller leather cased set with brass protractor and plated instruments. (4)
