A George III silver wine label, by Elizabeth Morley, London 1806, of rectangular form with canted corners and reeded borders, incised `Port`, another similar George IV silver wine label incised `Sherry`, by Mary Ann and Charles Reily, London 1826, and four modern examples titled `Whisky`, `Port`, `Sherry` and Brandy`, by Barker Bros. Ltd, Birmingham 1938/39, and a silver seven bar toastrack, by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd, London 1908, with central loop handle on oblong base, 11.5cm long (7) Visit www.sworder.co.uk for larger image and condition reports.
A good .22” Webley Mark I air pistol, number 17716 (1926), no markings on port housing, left side of air chamber marked “Webley Air Pistol Mark 1, Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham & London”, the right side with very clear etched patent dates and stamped “British Patent 219872”, trigger adjuster with no locking screw, safety catch on left, plain walnut grips with brass medallion. GWO & clean condition, retaining much original finish (a few small rust patches), in its original carton with instructions in the lid, containing original cardboard pellet box, spare leather washers in original packets, cleaning rod, and a booklet “The New Webley Air Pistol Mark I”. GC (the lid slightly damaged and badly stained). Dennis Hiller in his guide to air pistols states “Only three Webley Mk 1s have been seen with etched patents, and these had serial numbers 12786, 13114 and 17158”. Plate 3

Signed Christmas greetings card by both King George VI and Queen Elizabeth individually, the oblong 8vo cream folding card featuring an image to the inside of the Royal couple standing in a full length pose alongside their daughters, the Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, on the deck of a Royal yacht as they approach a port. Signed by both King George VI (`George R`) and Queen Elizabeth (`Elizabeth R`) in dark fountain pen ink beneath a printed greeting and dated 1948 in the King`s hand. With gold embossed crown to cover. Accompanied by the original Registered mail envelope addressed to Rev. F. J. Stone in Ascot and postally cancelled 20th December 1947. VG The Reverend F. J. Stone-Chaplain of the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Windsor Great Park, 1924-38.
