A Charles II Period Joined Oak Back Stool attributed to Lancashire/North Cheshire. The dome-topped panel back carved with a flowering plant bearing clusters of berries defined against a recessed pitted ground. The plain uprights surmounted by pyramidal finials. The turned legs united by a turned front stretcher and plain side & rear rails, 43 ins (109 cms) high, 19 ins (48 cms) wide, 15 ins (38 cms) deep.
A Charming Early 18th Century Joined Oak Wing Armchair of fine colour and patination. The tall panel back with domed cresting rail carved with a plant issuing a petalled roundel flanked by heart shaped pendant leaves defined against a pitted recessed ground. The flat plank arms with pad terminals above side panels and bobbin turned front posts leading down to a plank seat. The moulded seat rails drilled for previous robe webbing, standing on turned front legs flanking a panel front, with plain rear legs united by side stretchers. 50½ ins (128 cms) in height, 26 ins (66 cms) wide.
