Dieses Chronometer befindet sich noch in originalem Prüfzustand und wurde nie verkauft. Das Werk ist eines von insgesamt 48 produzierten Stücken einer bestimmten Serie, von denen die Firma MOVADO zwischen 1927 und 1939 36 Exemplare zur Prüfung als Taschen- bzw. Bord-Chronometer im Rahmen der jährlichen Concours am Observatorium in Neuchâtel mit großem Erfolg eingereicht hat. Teilweise sind diese Uhren außerdem auch zu den Chronometer-Trials am National Physical Laboratory in Teddington eingereicht gewesen. Das im Jahre 1927 entwickelte Kaliber wurde speziell für die Observatoriumswettbewerbe konzipiert. Neben der enormen Größe dieses Werkes, 65mm(!), ist das markanteste an dieser Konstruktion, dass die aufs feinste vollendete Hemmungspartie separat als demontierbare Baugruppe ausgeführt ist. Die Vorteile dieses Konzeptes stellt die verbesserte Handhabung bei der Präzisionsreglage, wie auch die Austauschbarkeit der Komponenten dar. Insgesamt wurden von diesem Werktyp nur 48 Stück produziert.
