In 1892 he married Anne Cary Morris and for their honeymoon the couple sailed to Guatemala where they worked for two weeks on behalf of the Peabody Museum of Harvard University. The present volume is an account of their travels and archaeological work designed to accompany Maudslay`s Biologia Centrali-Americana.
