Iniziali ornate silografiche. Legatura in cartone rustico, qualche macchia ai piatti. Esemplare discreto, cucitura allentata, al frontespizio tracce di colla, strappi e mancanze ai margini bianchi. Carte brunite, diffuse fioriture, qualche gora. Piccoli fori di tarlo al margine interno bianco di alcune carte. Al frontespizio la nota di possesso, in inchiostro scuro, 'Ex Museo March. de Sterlich'. Al contropiatto anteriore ex libris 'Ex Bibliotheca Gastronomica Claudio Benporat'.  Prima edizione, dedicata dall'autore a Paolo V e curata per la stampa da Giovanni Martinelli. L'operetta di Timotei si inserisce in un genere editoriale ormai fiorente, e tratta brevemente delle mansioni e delle qualità dei tanti officiali al servizio del principe, tra cui lo scalco, il trinciante, il dispensiero, lo scalco di tinello, il credienziere, il bottigliero, e il cuoco. Particolarmente delicato è l'officio del cuoco, perché la vita stessa del principe "in un certo modo [...] stà nelle sue mani; dovendo poi nella sua arte, & professione essere tale, che con ogni industria, & diligenza proveda, & acconci li cibi, esquisiti, & delicati" (p. 128).

Wallington (Private Secretary to Queen Mary) thanking her, on behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales, for participating in a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and commenting 'The concert was generally admitted to be one of the best ever given in London' (written on the printed stationery of Marlborough House, 3rd June 1908), programmes signed by Hans Richter and others. The letters with some overall dust staining and the programmes with extensive tears, crudely repaired with sellotape and causing extensive staining (only P to FR), the album VG, 5 + album Edna Thornton (1875-1964) English Contralto who sang at Covent Garden 1905-10 and 1919-23.
