Two of Vaughan's singles topped the UK Singles Chart - The Garden of Eden (1957) and Tower of Strength (1961). MARILYN MONROE - Marilyn Monroe's High Heeled ShoesA pair of Marilyn Monroe's high heels from the Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard Collection. Goddard was Monroe's foster sister and teenage friend. This pair of black leather-and-suede high heels include ankle and foot straps embellished with small silver-toned studs. The shoes are accompanied by a black-and-white photocopy of a portrait of Monroe, a Heaven and Earth Certificate of Authenticity, a Cooper Owen purchase invoice, and a printed Letter of Authenticity from Goddard, in which she mentions that the pair were "one of Marilyn's favourites". This lot exhibits wear from age and usage, including peeling of the leather, rusting, and abrasions on the sole. Monroe gifted this bracelet and several other items to Goddard.These clip-on drop earrings are teardrop-shaped and made from a number of circular-cut sparkly clear gems set in a silver-toned metal base. Each features a screw back which is used to adjust the fit on the earlobe. Accompanying the lot is a black-and-white photocopy of a portrait of Monroe and a printed Letter of Authenticity from Goddard. The gems exhibit some discolouration from age. MARILYN MONROE - Marilyn Monroe's BraceletMarilyn Monroe's bracelet from the Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard Collection. Goddard was Monroe's foster sister and teenage friend. Monroe gifted this bracelet and several other items to Goddard. The bracelet comprises three rows of round-cut clear gems framed by a row of rectangular-cut clear gems on either edge. These sparkly gems are set in silver-toned metal casings, and the bracelet features a functional clasp and safety chain. It comes in a black jewellery box. Accompanying this item is a printed Letter of Authenticity from Goddard and a black-and-white photograph of Monroe printed on glossy photographic paper, which displays the number "G-71250" and "Asphalt Jungle" handwritten on the back. Minor tears are present along the left edge of the photograph. MARILYN MONROE - Hand-signed Cheque for Sir Cecil BeatonA cheque for Sir Cecil Beaton signed by Marilyn Monroe. Beaton was a British photographer and Academy Award®-winning costume designer. The cheque is for $105.84 and dated "April 8 1958". Monroe's signature is in the bottom right corner, in blue ink. The cheque is displayed in a gold-coloured frame beneath an iconic image of Monroe in The Seven Year Itch. The display features a window in the back so the reverse of the cheque can be seen. The frame has some paint wear in two of the corners.
