An Exceptionally Fine Chippendale Period George III Mahogany Kettle Stand. The square serpentine-sided top edged in a delicate fret-work gallery of interlaced ogee arches above a candle/cup slide incorporated into the sledge form support. The centre column enriched with gadrooned knop & cup turnings above a tripod base with tapered out-swept legs terminating on pointed pad feet. 26½ ins (67 cms) in height, 12½ ins x 12½ ins (32 cms x 32 cms).
