Kent Sharpshooters Personal Wooden Box and Embroidery, Post war period wooden box for personal use. The Queens crowned cap badge of the Kent & County of London Yeomanry, ‘The Sharpshooters’ is attached to the lid face. Below is the metal rank badges of Staff Sargeant utilizing the brass stripes and queen’s crown. The lid has a metal catch and a lock. Inside is stamped with the original owner’s name. Accompanying this lot is an embroidery of the ‘20th London Regiment’. Both in good condition, over than something has been removed from the underside of the lid, leaving glue marks to the felt lining.

Two WW2 Royal Navy Ratings Square Rig Jumper / Sweater, Two original wartime pattern Royal Naval ratings pull over jumpers in serge. These are the standard pattern used throughout WW2 for the Royal Navy. Both have the same ‘Submarine Detector’ patch on the right sleeve, potentially belonging to the same rating. One in the red embroidery the other in the gold bullion style. They are both in fine condition. No labels or stamping can be seen inside
A 1920s black crêpe and lace dress, a 1920s black silk beaded jacket, a 1920s olive green silk and lace dress with matching lace jacket, a silk and embroidered dressing gown, a cream fringed shawl with black floral embroidery and a pale yellow fringed shawl with pastel floral embroidery (all af).Condition Report: - The beaded jacket appears to be in ok condition, with some beading missing and some loose beading. All other items are in poor condition and extremely fragile, with rips, tears and pieces missing, as well as oxidising/perishing to the lace. They are also susceptible to further tearing. The shawls have large tears to the edges where the fringing is attached to the edges of the shawl. The dressing gown has many tears and pieces cut out from the fabric, and the sleeve is detached. There is also some white paint marking. The black lace dress has many holes, rusted buttons, perishing to the lace, etc. The olive green silk dress is extremely fragile/friable, with extensive deterioration to the lace and silk lining. The neckline and straps of the dress are particularly damaged, and the matching lace jacket is in similar condition, with a large tear running down from the neckline at the back and several holes. Most items have some staining. Overall, these pieces would be difficult to repair/restore.

Flambards Bridal Collection Wedding dress c.1912 The bride wears a chiffon over silk gown, with hand embroidery to the bodice, skirt and sleeves, a double train, and from her headress hangs a cascading veil of fine tambour lace. The dress is modelled by a haughty blonde mannequin. We judge that the cream chiffon overgrown is too fragile to be usable; otherwise, the dress is in good condition.

A Victorian wool work sampler, late 19th century, worked by Mary Hughes aged ten and dated 1884, depicting a manor house and garden with figures and animals, framed and glazed, 40cm x 43cm overall; with a further wool work embroidery depicting a young girl and her dog, maple framed and glazed, 63.5cm x 57cm (2) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:Both pieces are framed under glass and have not been removed for inspection. The Mary Hughes sampler shows some small losses to the left and bottom edges which are visible in the frame. The lower central section shows an area of discoloration. The colours overall are quite bright, but are likely to have faded somewhat over time. The girl and dog embroidery shows staining to the backing fabric in the upper half of the picture, and some fading to the colours.
