The Waltham example has heavy tarnishing to the case throughout, very heavy in parts, ticks when wound, hairline crack to the dial between the eleven and twelve points with some light surface scratches to the dial. The Elgin example does not tick and has a hairline crack running from the subsidiary seconds hand to five various points in the outer dial, a couple of dents to the back of the case. All three with general surface wear throughout.

All have wear to the cases. The Dominant watch, the smaller Elgin watch are unable to close so the covering lid is permanently in an upright position, some heavy tarnishing in parts, surface scratches. The Waltham watch has owners initials GL engraved to the base, and all four with general surface wear to the dials.

The Elgin watch is missing a finger from the subsidiary dial and also cracking to the dial, it has also been over wound.  The Omega watch when wound does not appear to be ticking.  Both in need of restoration.

Precious colors of pink, purple, white, and yellow with a bouquet of petunias and nice frame. Born Jennie Christine in Elgin, Illinois, she officially changed her name to Jane Peterson in 1909 after her first success as an artist. Her family was of humble background but certainly not poverty stricken. She became famous for a wide range of works from landscapes to still-lives that blend Impressionist and Expressionist movements. As a woman, her life was much more independent and adventurous than those of most of her contemporaries, and she traveled widely to paint including joining Louis Comfort Tiffany on a continental painting expedition in his private railway car.In 1916, she exhibited work she had painted in the Pacific Northwest while traveling with Louis Tiffany. By 1916, she was also doing much painting of colorful beach scenes with Maurice Prendergast and went on to paint many landscapes and seascapes. She completed many floral subjects, which were inspired by the gardens of her summer house in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Many of her beach and pier scenes were from painting trips to artist colonies along the Massachusetts coast.
