Elgin 24-hour Military aircraft gun camera clock / watch, numbered 691-678, signed dial, screw bezel, 30mm - ** Designed for recording time stamps in a 'gun camera' mounted to the side of a military aircraft. Gun cameras were used on military aircraft to record damage to enemy targets, and military intelligence specialists found it useful to have a timestamp attached to each photo. A small clock would be mounted inside the camera and a series of prisms would superimpose the clock face in a corner of the camera's field of view, which would be recorded every time the camera took a picture.

Victorian 2nd China War 1857-60 Medal Acting Lieutenant HM Steam Frigate Ferooz Indian Navy, fine example with single clap Taku Forts 1860, impressed naming “AG LIEUT C P. WILSON HM STR FEROOZ IN”. Medal remains in good overall condition. It would appear that Acting Lieutenant Charles P Wilson appears on the medal roll as Charles Fooley Wilson and his medal was signed for on 17th December 1862. In 1860 the Indian Steam Frigate Ferooz conveyed Lord Elgin, Her Majesty's special envoy to the Court of Pekin, China and took part in the operations against the Taku Forts.
