A Limoges dinner service, circa 1900, decorated with printed and hand coloured butterflies and flowers, comprising of soup tureen and cover, four other tureens, two graduated meat plates, ten dinner plates and six soup bowls. Width of largest meat plate 51cm.Provenance: From the estate of Bernard Tucker, deceased. A former West London antiques dealer (1940 - 2019) these items came from his personal collection at his home on Gugh Island, Isles of Scilly. He was the subject of a documentary 'The Old Man of Gugh' which is available to view on Vimeo.Condition report: Please note: The design is printed and hand coloured rather than hand painted. Three bowls have chipped rims (one has chips visible to the obverse, two have chips visible to the reverse) Six plates have condition issues - chips to rims and/or foot rims, one has a hairline crack from rim to base.
