A late 19th Century Austro-Hungarian canteen of silver cutlery for twelve place settings, comprising table forks, table knives, table spoons, dessert spoons, dessert knives and forks, teaspoons, two serving spoons, two serving forks, a cake slice, soup ladle, four mustard spoons and four mustards, bearing Diana head hallmark for Vienna (post 1866) 160 troy oz, housed in a leather covered case, the interior inscribed "KVK Hof Juweller N. Granichstadten A. Witte Wien" CONDITION REPORTS All items have various scratches, marks, scuffs. Some with verdigris. Some of the salts are bent out of shape. Steel blades have various marks, small chips, pitting, etc. General wear and tear through use throughout.
Motor-car picnic set, 1930's, for four people, the black leather cloth cabinet with a fall front revealing an interior fitted with a spirit kettle, cutlery, cups, saucers and plates, glassware and containers, width 64cm Condition report: Moderate deterioration of the outside; height 30cm, depth 22cm; metal fixtures have surface corrosion; white lining panels warped and lifting at the corners; one saucer broken and repaired; both small glasses broken; bottle stoppers have lost their chrome finish; pottery jars and cake tin crazed and stained/discoloured; minor chips to the enamel dishes; minor dents and corrosion to the metal surfaces; forks and spoons all marked "Siltona" and the stainless knives all marked "GWS&S" and scratched with the name "Banner". We do not have any information about the original inventory. There is a gap in the rack bottom centre. See the accompanying photographs.
