No. 4.”, most of its 1 ¾” wide brown leather band is missing. The history of this is it belonged to Stephen Bleeker who served in the 120th NYV Co. G. 3rd Corps, was wounded at the Wilderness, he fought in Gettysburg & later was captured, condition wise this has some large holes upfront & other then the inside band this is in good condition, G++

US CIVIL WAR UNION EM BELT RIG INCLUDING BAYONET, BELT & BUCKLE & CAP BOX, a 1 ¾” wide black leather belt, a brass “US” oval 3 ¼” x 2” buckle w/ arow style hooks on reverse, a standard black leather issue cap box is Depot mkd. etc. & very nice 58 caliber socket bayonet mkd. “U.S.” in its proper scabbard, all the leather shows honest wear but is sound VG.

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD UNION CHAUSSER CAP, INFANTRY OFFICER, a blue doeskin, rear is 4 1/4” tall & front is 2 ¾” tall & its top diameter is 5”, has 3 gold bullion lower strips, 3 on ea. side & and matching quatrefoil on top which indicates RANK OF MAJOR, embroidered on front is a heavy gold bullion bugle w/ the the unit # “28” all on a 2 ¼” black doeskin oval, a black patent leather visor extends 1 ½” w/ a matching chin-strap w/ Infantry eagle side buttons, has a brown muslin lining w/ a 1 ¼” brown leather sweatband (has 1 break), a few bad moth holes but overall very nice, VG++

US CIVIL WAR PERIOD CONFEDERATE MILITIA OFFICERS KEPI FROM GEORGIA, a gray wool top w/ a black wool base, rear is 3 ½” tall & the front is 2” tall & its diameter on top is 5”, has a double-cord (split in center) gold trim, a black patent leather visor which extends 1 ¼” & has a matching chin-strap w/ Georgia State Seal side-buttons, has a black satin lining which has a glue repair & a 1” wide dark brown leather sweat band, its front area has a fair amount of period repairs, its visor has a lot of crazing, still has a nice appearance, G+
