One side natural and the other in black. Produced from the first half of the 20th century. King 5,5 cm high; pawn 3,0 cm high. Size box 28,5 x 28,5 x 10 cm. Complete wooden chess set in French Régence style. The game box stands on 4 small feet and is decorated on the edge with carved edelweiss motifs. All parts are dusty, have signs of use and aging. Few chess pieces with defects and missing parts. The game box is a little bit bumped.

B038991) und "Johnny Walker Black Label 12 Years", meist 70 bzw. 75 cl., meist 1960/70er Jahre, alle ungeöffnet, Vintage - Flaschen teils mit Altersspuren an den Etiketten, Etiketten teils auch fehlend 2837 Dabei eine der seltenen Flaschen des sog. Rommel -Schnaps, den das deutsche Afrika-Corps unter Erwin Rommel bei der Einnahne Tobruks im Jahre 1942 erbeutete, die Fässer mit fast zwei Millionen Liter Rum, Whisky und Gin wurden nach Italien verbracht und fielen nach Kriegsende der US-Army in die Hände, diese ließen die noch verbliebenen Restbestände durch die italienische Firma Delva abfüllen und wurden dann nach Linz verbracht, wo diese bis 1976 blieben, schließlich wurden die verbliebenen Flaschen 1979 in einer Auktion verkauft

Chinatown John Bellany is one of a series commissioned by London Underground. Very good condition, minor creasing, small tears. A VICTORIAN WALNUT ‘ROYAL CABINET OF GAMES’ COMPENDIUMThe hinged lid enclosing an interior fitted with a folding black and red tooled gilt-leather chess, backgammon and steeplechase board; the lift-out tray containing bone checkers and scoring plate with bone dominoes set beneath, the hinged fold-out front enclosing a bone chess set, the under section containing playing cards, the subdivided interior compartment with six painted metal steeplechase horses and two shakers, stamped plaque ‘The Royal Cabinet of Games’. The box, 32cm wide; 17.5cm highCondition report:One dice missing but otherwise appears complete (there is room for another counter but there are 15 of each currently so we do not believe any are missing). Chess pieces generally ok with wear and dirt. Rubbing to the staining of the red pieces. Some small odd chips - notably to the edge base of a red pawn, a spike to the queen’s crown and base of a red knight, and one white pawn piece with glue repair.Games board with  quite a few scratches and small marks, dirt to the leather (see images) commensurate with use over the years; three old stickers to the backgammon sections - which will require careful removal. Split to one fold on the horse racing side; some red squares lifting slightly.Case in god order with general marks, scratches and wear consistent with age and use including a deeper scratch to the cover and knocks to the corners. Missing retailer’s label to the back edge.
