A Burmantofts faience charger, floral decorated in the Middle Eastern taste in blues, browns and greens by Leonard King, stamped verso and inscribed "D.SG:106 574" and monogrammed CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, some scuffs, mainly to the edges and to the raised centre. Crazing throughout. Accretions. Small chips and areas of loss to the glaze on the rim of the charger. Discolouration in areas. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details. Approx 46 cm diameter x 8 cm high.
Burmantofts Faience pale celadon ground jardiniere, circa 1900, impressed 'BF' mark, shape number 1789, moulded in high relief with cartouches of flowering chrysanthemums, within beaded surrounds and flanked by foliate motifs, 22cm high Condition ReportThere is a crack from the rim downwards. There are some brown spots. There is what appears to be a chip to one of the flower. There is some ceramic crazing. There is a dent inside the rim. See attached images.
