Clarice Cliff Leaf Shaped Pottery Dish yellow ground decorated with berries and flowers. Marked Clarice Cliff Newport Pottery to rear. 34cm long, has small chip to rim. Also, a Burleigh Ware Art Deco lidded jar, on a cream ground with blue decoration and yellow and gilt leaves. Please see photographs.

BURLEIGH WARE JUG, 20cm high, hand painted with flowers and butterflies, along with a Royal Staffordshire 'Honeyglaze' bowl, two Highland Ware Govancroft jugs formed as thistles, a Hornsea pottery posy holder in the form of a tree trunk with a figure of a lamb, along with collectors plates and collectables
CLARICE CLIFF; a lotus flower moulded oval footed bowl with Newport Pottery stamp to base, base diameter 22cm, also a Charlotte Rhead fruit decorated shaped circular bowl with painted signature and printed Burleigh Ware marks to base, diameter 32cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: Some small losses to surface decoration, particularly around the base including minor chip to one end, otherwise light surface wear and usual manufacturing imperfections. Charlotte Rhead bowl with hairline to rim, crazing and further surface wear throughout.
A Burgess and Leigh Burleigh Ware jug, the handle modelled as a squirrel, 18 cm [This lot is by descent from E T Bailey, Modeller Designer at Burgess and Leigh from the 1930s until the 1970s. He is credited with notable 1930s designs including sporting jugs and Art Deco tableware, and pioneering relief-moulded jugs with sculptured and figural handles. During the 1950s he was responsible for the introduction of modern designs, and the revival of 19th Century Burgess and Leigh printed patterns. Much of his work is now displayed in Hanley Pottery Museum.]
