Composée: - d`une pendule, socle rectangulaire à ressaut central cintré, décoré en pourtour de branchages en bronze doré. Importante base en bronze doré, composée de deux consoles renversées, surdécorées d`une grosse fleur et encadrant un ressaut avec acanthe. Fût de pendule en marbre, coiffé d`un fronton en bronze avec nÂœud de ruban. Cadran en émail signé “Raingo frères à Paris” avec chiffres romains et arabes. Aiguilles style Louis XVI. Mvt de Paris signé “Raingo frères Paris”, échappement à ancre anglais, suspension à ressort et réglage compteur de type Brocot. Sonnerie au passage des demies. Cette pendule porte le no 4304 gravé sur le dos, la platine arrière du mvt et le balancier. -Une paire de candélabres base hélicoïdale en marbre rouge. Fût en cassolette en marbre supporté par trois consoles renversées en bronze doré. Sommet à sept bras de lumière électrifiés. Cet ensemble est remarquable par sa qualité et par son état. Pendule: H. 52x48x20.50 cm. Candélabre: H. 82.5x23 cm. Leurs réputations ne cessèrent de grandir et vers le milieu du 19ème siècle ils vont élargir leurs catalogues en proposant des bronzes et des pièces dÂ’ameublement. Par la suite ils seront ainsi amenés à fournir lÂ’empereur Napoléon III en pendules et bronzes, dont certaines en collaboration avec le bronzier et doreur Picard. Leur travail fût exposé dans les Grandes Expositions de la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle et était réputé pour la qualité et la grande diversité de leurs bronzes. Henri PICARD fut un des plus célèbres bronziers et doreur au 19ème siècle à Paris. La qualité et la finesse de ses créations lui a permis de fournir des Âœuvres pour les petits appartements de Napoléon III au Louvre. M. Picard était célèbre pour la qualité de sa production de pièces de table et de garnitures de cheminée. Une importante paire de candélabres de M. Picard à douze lumières est conservée au Musée du Louvre à Paris.

A French four glass clock made in 1986 by Epee and sold as a limited edition of 2500 by Franklin Mint (this clock no.869). It was made to commemorate the re-dedication of the Statue of Liberty and has a gilt brass case with fluted corner columns and bevel glass panels and has a silhouette of the Statue of Liberty behind the mercury pendulum. The clock has a music box in the base which alternately plays `The star spangled banner` and the French National Anthem on the hour. The circular movement has a visible `Brocot` escapement on the dial and strikes hours and halves on a bell. The clock stands 13"" high and has its original box, mercury pendulum and bell are missing.

A mid-19th Century French ormolu and Sèvres style porcelain mantel timepiece with year going five spring barrel movement, the dial with engraved foliate scroll centre, black Roman numerals, Breguet style steel hands and inscribed `Achille Brocot`, the backplate stamped `AB` within a star, the drum case with two scroll supports framing two Sèvres style porcelain panels painted with cherubs within bleu céleste and gilt borders, centred with a lion`s mask supporting a pair of laurel wreath swags on an inverted breakfront base cast with scrolling foliage, on disc and turned feet, height approx 27.5cm, together with glass dome, ebonized stand, pendulum and key. Note: Achille Brocot is recorded working at Rue d`Orleans au Marais, Paris, between 1850 and 1874. He was the son of the famous Louis-Gabriel Brocot.
