A World War I leather cased brass five-draw telescope, by Broadhurst, Clarkson & C, /63 Faringdon Road, London, extending to 101cm long The firm was started by Robert Mills in 1844, taken over by Alexander thomas Clarkson in c. `1870, who was joined by Robert Henry Broadhurst in 1892 as scientific instrument manufacturers and gas compressors. From 1909 firm called Braodhurst, Clarkson & Co., and from 1915 were situated at 63, Farringdon Road, where the firm still conitnues today, the premises having been named 'Telescope House' in the 1920s. The London postal districts were numbered from 1917, so this instrument can be dated to c. 1915-1917. Condition Report: Very good, but leather case may be a replacement.

Nineteen large DM Medal Special Signed Covers. The unbelievably rare set of 19 special signed large RAF Museum Awards Series Covers, in the nicest Black album I've ever seen. The album alone has got to be worth £100! This series of eighteen flown covers illustrates the principal honours, decorations and campaign medals which have been awarded to members of the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Air Force and Royal Air Force Regiment, the Royal Naval Air Service and the Fleet Air Arm. Each cover (which measures a large 32cm x 23cm) carries the signatures of seven airmen, whose gallantry or leadership in the service of their country, has been recognised by the award shown. A further special cover has been added to the series to mark the relationship between the RAF and the Luftwaffe. The collection comes housed in a luxury album, and all the covers are laid out in protective sleeves with the inlay cards and signatories photographs shown opposite.
