WILLDEY, George (fl. 1707-1737) and Emanuel BOWEN (1694?-1767). – Great Britain, Europe, Africa, and Asia. London: 1711-1714-1715. A set of 4 large engraved maps, each approx. 645 x 985mm with the map of Great Britain being portrait in format, each on 2 sheets joined, all hand-coloured in outline, cartouches plain. (Map of Great Britain worn at head with some minor losses, light spotting, soiling and creasing.) Framed with contemporary wooden battens at head and foot, the top battens lettered in gilt, the lower battens terminating turned finials (the maps sometime reframed reusing battens but with modern hardboard backing and glazing, the maps with marks at head and tail from previous framing technique).
