An early 20th century gilt brass and green jasper porcelain mounted mantel clock The dial signed with retailers mark, Mappin & Webb Ltd, Paris, the movement stamped with Japy Frères pastille The rectangular glazed case of architectural form with moulded central pediment flanked by two pairs of columns on scrolling plinth supports, surmounted by floriate knopped finials, the breakfront base on bracket plinth feet, the 3.75' dial with Arabic gilt chapter ring and porcelain centre with fret pierced steel hands, the brass twin train movement stamped to the backplate A.1 within an oval numbered 1420 and 55, and with Brocot type suspension striking on a coiled steel gong, with matching porcelain inset pendulum, and later steel winding key, 36cm high, 27cm wide, 13.5cm deep For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
