Pritzel 3922; Stafleu TL2 2593], folio (510 x 355mm.), Brunswick, Waysenhause, 1755 Footnotes: Scarce first German edition of Heister's celebration of a new species of African lily, first published in Latin in 1753. The author was the Director of the Helmstadt botanic gardens. Provenance: Horticultural Society of New York, Kenneth K. Mackenzie bequest bookplate, and circular blind-stamp on one plate; Robert de Belder, Sotheby's 27-28 April 1987, lot 146.
