Original vintage propaganda poster Map Review No 46 Published January 31st 1948 by the Bureau of Current Affairs featuring an illustration of a world map with British Airways, BOAC and BEAC routes and an inset over black elaborating on the financial losses in the past year related to the expensive pioneering development and running of certain unprofitable services in the national interest; with another insert on Song of Ceylon below the image, announcing the independence of Ceylon within the framework of the British Commonwealth, mentioning religious, national, and political differences, with a photograph of a temple to the left and a map of Ceylon superimposed over a photograph of people in the market. Information form The British Transport Commission is on the reverse of the poster, including a photograph of a man reading framed Transport Act 1947 announcement, with a map of the United Kingdom with routes and inserts on the already set up executive offices and future prospects set over orange background. Issued by The Bureau of Current Affairs, Carnegie House, 117 Piccadilly, W.1. Printed by Fosh & Cross, Ltd, London. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, staining, tears. Double sided. We dispatch items after receipt of payment. Delivery to UK addresses usually takes 2-3 working days. Delivery to international addresses varies depending on destination and usually takes 2-5 working days.
