A Collection of Mainly 19th Century Ceramics: A Doulton Lambeth Stoneware jug 7½ ins (19 cms) high, a Goodwins Bridgwood & Co. sepia printed `Chinese Scenery` jug, a Masons Ironstone blue & white Willow pattern cheese dish, a Victorian pewter lidded wash bowl, a Copeland Spode `Marlborough` meat plate, a large Booth`s wash jug, a jardiniere, a Royal Doulton `John Barley corn Old Lad` character jug, a pair of Staffordshire spaniels.
A Carlton Ware lustre ginger jar and cover decorated with a kingfisher beside lily pads on a red ground, printed marks, height 22.5cm, also a Copeland Spode blue ground gilt decorated rectangular trinket box (2). CONDITION REPORT: Minor surface wear to the jar and light rubbing to the gilding otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A set of four Spode pearlware pottery Flower Cross pattern blue printed plates, circa 1820, unmarked, diameter approx 24.5cm, together with a pair of Palladian Porch pattern blue printed pearlware plates, unmarked, and a pair of Leeds Pottery Long Bridge pattern blue printed plates, impressed factory marks (minor faults).
A Spode blue printed Jumping Boy or Lange Lijsen pattern circular soup tureen stand, circa 1830, the rim with figural and prunus vignettes, blue printed and impressed factory mark to base, diameter approx 34cm, together with a Davenport blue printed meat platter decorated with View of the Imperial Park at Gehol (firing faults), a Southwick Pottery blue printed circular bowl decorated with a Highland gentleman and lady (restored) and a soup tureen printed with Guy`s Cliff, Warwickshire (lacking cover, restored).
A group of English stone china wares, early 19th Century, including a small pair of plates by Davenport decorated with a bird and peony, a floral Imari Davenport plate, a Spode famille rose type floral plate and an octagonal jug with serpent handle, together with a small group of other wares including an English porcelain blue printed teapot stand, probably New Hall, and a Chinese export ware meat dish (faults and restoration).

Thirty-six pieces of Spode Felspar gilded porcelain tea and coffee china, pattern 4415. (36) Hand decorated with panels of rose and flower sprays. Excellent quality, comprises-Teapot with rivet repairs, lidded sugar basin with damaged internal rim, large sugar bowl with cracks and damage, milk jug in good condition, twelve tea cups in good condition on with base rim chip, six coffee cans one with hairline in base, two large plates in good condition and twelve saucers two with small hairlines in the bases.

(32) Comprises-teapot with base hairlines, sugar bowl, sandwich plate, ten tea plates one with rim chip and one with hairline stained, eleven saucers one with hairline stained, eight tea cups one with hairline, one with chip and one internally discoloured. An attractive set.

Floricultural Cabinet, and Florist’s Magazine, 1833-35, 1837-40, 1842-46, 1854-59, together eighteen vols., approx. 200 plts., some folding, mostly hand-col., but some col. litho. plts. in later vols., some toning and foxing, front free endpapers with ownership ink stamp, final six vols. with armorial bookplate of Josiah Spode on front pastedown, contemp. half calf gilt (1837-46 uniform and 1854-59 uniform), rubbed, first seven vols. worn with some loss to spines, 8vo, together with another eleven vols. of the Floricultural Cabinet, 1833-48, approx. 120 col. plts., contemp. half calf (1840-48 uniform), plus The Floral World, 5 vols., 1858-73, rubbed and some wear, and The Florist’s Journal for the Year 1844, all with col. plts., 8vo. A Royal Doulton Stoneware Circular Bowl, the rim moulded with rosettes and decorated in blue and grey wash; together with a further Copeland Spode Commemorative Whisky Decanter for George V/Queen Mary Coronation June 1911, and also inscribed “Andrew Usher & Co Distillers Edinburgh” (slight chip to tip of coronet cover), 6” diameter and 9 ½” high (2)
