A NEPHRITE FIGURE OF GUANYIN, A PLATED CANDLESTICK, AND TWO CONTINENTAL FIGURES, to include a hand-carved nephrite figure of the Chinese goddess of mercy, Guanyin, carrying a lotus bloom, height 18cm (small chip to the back of the bouquet and the base) two late eighteenth/early nineteenth century Derby ceramic shepherdess figures comprising a shepherdess picking flowers, height 21cm, with a red crown and swords mark to the base (slight damage to the hand, firing crack to the upper arm and hat brim, rubs and chips to the flowers) and a seated female figure with her mandolin and lamb, height 18.5cm (clear signs of restoration at the neck, damage to the hand, restoration of the lamb's ear and the headgear, cracks to the paint at various points), and a Barker Ellis plated candlestick with an etched glass shade (scratches and marks to the shade) (4) (Condition Report: See above for itemised conditions)
This is an exceptional Bremond Mandolin Organocleide music box in walnut case with mixed wood burl. Plays six tunes, with strong key wound motor and great tone. Polished case shows little wear, light scuffs, and nothing that distracts from its overall beauty. A great music box from a distinctive maker. Dimensions (H x W x D): 26,5 x 76 x 33 cm. This Link style C has a recent restoration. With mandolin and flute pipes accompanying the piano. Although art glass designs varied greatly, this general case design was one of the Link Piano Co.'s most popular. All original with a replaced motor, this piano once belonged to restorer/inventor Doyle Lane. Plays very well and is not a common piano to find in complete playing condition. Plays RX Rolls.
