A Pewter-Encased Yixing Teapot and Cover Of beehive shape with `c`-scroll handle and short tapering spout partly inset with jade, the flat cover with a plain jade finial, incised around the body on one side with a poetic inscription, the other with flowers, the mark of the maker, Fan Luzeng, applied to the base of the interior. Signed Fan Luzeng, Daoguang Period Width: 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm) [Overall wear, dents, minor chips, cracks] Fan Luzeng is famous for the pewter-cased teapots he produced during the Daoguang period (1821-1850).
