Two Chinese polychrome-enameled porcelain figures, Qing Dynasty 19th century. The forward-facing seated figure (Civil God of Wealth) is holding a ruyi scepter and wearing a dragon robe. DOCTOR WHO - EVOLUTION OF THE DALEKS (2007) - Human Dalek Tommy Gun - A Human Dalek Tommy gun from the fifth episode of the third series of the revived British science fiction television series Doctor Who, named "Evolution of the Daleks". Dalek-enhanced Tommy Guns were energy weapons created by the Cult of Skaro to arm their human-Dalek army in their bid to conquer Earth in 1930 and create the New Dalek Empire. The weapon, the design for which was based on a hybrid of a Thompson submachine gun and a Dalek gun stick, is constructed from deliberately weathered resin, painted to look metallic, and wood. SHERLOCK HOLMES (2009) - Watson's (Jude Law) Walking Stick, with Cattle Prod, Club and Frying Pan - Watson's (Jude Law) walking stick, plus a cattle prod, frying pan and club from Guy Ritchie's action adventure Sherlock Holmes. Watson used his walking stick in various fights against Lord Blackwood's (Mark Strong) men, while Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) used the cattle prod and club. The frying pan is not obviously seen on screen.All the items are made of rubber, and the stick, club and cattle prod have solid cores. The walking stick is embellished with white details around the handle, and is otherwise painted black. The cattle prod is painted to look metallic, has resin features, and contains a clear section at the top of the handle which looks to contain a copper coil. It is missing one of the rounded ends of its prongs. The club is painted to appear wooden. The pan is painted black, and printed with SKK branding. Each item exhibits minor wear and cracking in the paint, but otherwise remains in good condition. STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980)/STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) - Yoda's (Frank Oz) Gimer Stick - Yoda's (Frank Oz) gimer stick from Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. The legendary Jedi Master famously carried a walking stick throughout the Star Wars films, including his years in exile and training Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on Dagobah.Yoda was brought to life in the original films using a highly detailed puppet sculpted by artist Stuart Freeborn and performed (both in puppeteering and in voice) by celebrated Muppet performer and filmmaker Frank Oz. Yoda quickly became one of the most popular and iconic characters in the Star Wars franchise, later appearing in both the prequel and sequel trilogies.This cane originated from Bonhams' 2005 Rock & Film Memorabilia auction. It is made of cast resin with sculpted details and brown paint to resemble a twisted length of aged wood with a knot at the handle for Yoda to hold onto. DOCTOR WHO ORIGINAL SERIES (T.V. SERIES, 1963 - 1989) - 1970s BBC-made Longleat Exhibition Dalek - A 1970s BBC-made Longleat exhibition Dalek, the notorious extraterrestrial race from beloved sci-fi TV series Doctor Who. One of the visual effects designers on the show, Tony Oxley, and visual effects assistant, Charlie Lumm, built this Dalek for the Longleat Doctor Who exhibition in April of 1974. The Dalek remained on display in Longleat until its closure in 2003, before it was transferred to the Blackpool Doctor Who exhibition, where it was exhibited from 2004 to 2009. In 2013, the Dalek was exhibited for the 50th anniversary BBC Public showing of An Unearthly Child, while appearing on the ITV show This Morning in the same year. The Dalek is predominantly made of wood, painted to look like metal. This includes its skirt and its "sense globes", as well as its eye stalk. The gun stick is made of metal, as is the mesh section at the Dalek's collar. The suction cup comprises a metal rod and a rubber head. When connected to its mains lead, the Dalek's suction cup and eye stalk move, while the eye and the two dome lights illuminate. The Dalek's plastic belt exhibits cracking and peeling. BATMAN (1989) - Light-up Toynami Batmobile Replica - A Toynami replica of the Batmobile from Tim Burton's Batman. Batman (Michael Keaton) rescued Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) from the Joker (Jack Nicholson), fleeing the scene with her in his batmobile. The Batmobile's roof can be slid forward, revealing the cockpit-like interior. The gear stick can be switched to two different light display settings for the headlights, breaklights and exhaust. The replica is displayed loosely on a stand, although its functioning rubber wheels mean it can be pushed along. It is accompanied by its original packaging. BLACKADDER II - POTATO (1986) - Edmund Blackadder's (Rowan Atkinson) "Potato" Boomerang - A boomerang from "Potato", the third episode of the second series of the BBC sitcom Blackadder.Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) presents the Queen (Miranda Richardson) a 'special stick' as a souvenir from his travels, that when thrown away, comes back. She is displeased with the gift until she witnesses a throw of the boomerang return and strike Percy (Tim McInnerny) in the back of the head. The boomerang is made of foam latex, painted to look wooden. The boomerang has become fragile with age, and cracked in a number of places. It has been reinforced with steel wire and felt on the underside, but it should still be handled with care.
